Multi award winning and multi platinum selling Australian
songstress Katie Noonan returns with a stunning new album
entitled Blackbird – the music of Lennon and McCartney for
jazz sextet.
Blackbird’ was recorded in New York with the cream of veteran
jazz players including Miles Davis’ long-time double-bass
player, Ron Carter, drummer Lewis Nash, saxophonist Joe
Lovano, guitarist John Scofield (who also recorded with Miles
Davis) and Melbourne-based keyboard player Sam Keevers.
